johnm7 got their new logo & brand guide by running a design contest:
Cyber Corps Vintage/Retro Branding
Check out johnm7's Logo & brand guide contest…
The Cyber Corps is a rebrand of a company that provides web development support as a service for small businesses. The service provides a small business owner access to a team of developers that manages their website and can take care of any fixes or changes.
Where the Cyber Corps is unique is that developers are more skilled, professional, and quick responding. To imply quick responding skill, we’re naming the company a “corps” as in: Marine Corps, ambulance corps, the green lantern corps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corps For our branding, rather than going with a retro cyberpunk feel or futuristic feel, we want to create some dissonance by creating a logo that appears both vintage and technical. Think 1940’s science fiction books. Below are some examples that meet the general feeling of what we’re looking for. https://cdn.cultofmac.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/SpaceX-Valles-Marineris-640x960.jpg https://cdn.cultofmac.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/SpaceX-Olympus-Mons-640x960.jpg https://64.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m1z0iwXTm91qbh26io1_500.jpg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/1372482097049-OY1J1SYAKNUOX6XR35HE/Travelartstuff.jpeg?content-type=image%2Fjpeg https://img.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeed-static/static/2013-09/enhanced/webdr05/25/14/original-21847-1380133909-18.jpg https://www.pinterest.com/ruudhanegraaf/retro-space-travel-posters/ We don’t want the logo design to be an image based on the letters. In other words, we don’t want a logo that is a stylized version of TCC. Some symbols that might be worth incorporating: The world network (Internet) E.g. something like: https://www.flaticon.com/svg/static/icons/svg/269/269144.svg A shield or emblem. Old school computer. E.g. something like: https://www.pixtastock.com/illustration/45448536 *These are just ideas* to reinforce the “cyber” and the “skilled professional” aspects of the brand.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo & brand guide starts at $429.
