We've all been there - minding your own business when a strange rock formation suddenly protrudes from under the coffee table. Hmmmm, best to check it out with one of the fabulous products by D-tect Systems. Yep, wouldn't you know it... pitchblende! A radioactive, uranium-rich mineral and ore with a chemical composition that is largely UO₂ but because of oxidation typically contains variable proportions of U₃O₈.
