sarah.little got their new landing page design by running a design contest:
Upsell PopUp Page
Check out sarah.little's Landing page design contest…
We are the largest privately owned self-storage company in the world, with locations across the US, Canada, and the UK. This project is for an upsell pop up module in between the 1st page of our check-out form (where they provide name, email, phone) and the 2nd page where they select their move-in date and provide payment.
fits seamlessly with rest of the site and the checkout experience
Elements to include in the landing page
It's not really a landing page, it is a pop-up page, but... We need to show their selected unit along with 2 upgraded units. We would like them to select one of the upgraded units which costs more but they have benefits of better location. Usually "better" means closer to entrances and loading points, so that unloading and loading items is easier and just more convenient. This may not seem like a huge deal, but when our managers sell upgrades in person their technique is walking people to an upgraded unit first, which is closer and better access and then to their unit which is further away. We see about 50% upgrade rate on average in our stores, so obviously this is important enough to many people. The units are all part of the same "unit group" in our system which means they are comparable sizes, meaning either the exact same size or essentially the same size like 10x15 vs 10x14 or 9x16 or something. They will also all have comparable unit amenities (like if the selected unit is a drive up unit we wouldn't have a unit in that group that is inside access only and not drive up to unit accessible). Or if the unit is climate controlled we wouldn't show non climate-controlled, etc. We need mobile and desktop versions
BRAND GUIDES ---------- - attached is our brand guide - more useful is probably this link to DSM used for website: https://projects.invisionapp.com/dsm/storage-mart/storage-mart/folder/colors/5b6dec6d44c7aa001031a0a8 --------------------------------------- PROJECT JUMPING OFF POINT ---------- We are including a reference Invision link as a jumping off point. This was made as a base mockup to get our ideas out there. Desktop - https://invis.io/P5Y5CMO9BRN Mobile - https://invis.io/RYY5HP4QEMD MOCKUP LIKES ---------- - we are comparing existing unit with upgrades MOCKUP NEEDS ---------- - the option to select/change more obvious - selecting an upgraded unit should be more appealing/compelling - the default "economy" unit should maybe not be a card, but more differentiated from the upgrade choices and lose the "Economy" verbiage - experience between page 1 of checkout, popup, and page 2 should be seamless - page 2 should indicate if an upgrade was chosen in the receipt area somewhere - maybe only include the "Only $xx more" type message vs the new price - variations to handle: - if only 1 upgrade option available - nonactive one needs to be grayed out or look nonactive somehow - if no upgrade option available - need both grayed out with personal message about "Looks like the upgraded units have been rented out already. Don't worry, you can talk to the store manager at check-in and see if there's any last minute upgrades available." --------------------------------------- NOTE ON IMAGES ---------- We would be open to images (icons/illlustrations) if there is an appropriate use case for them, in which case reference our existing illustration/icon style on the website. --------------------------------------- NOTE ON FINAL FILES ---------- Figma, Illustrator, Sketch will all worth fine as well. Thank you!
