rabi-sedge got their new landing page design by running a design contest:
Trustworthy landing page for device upgrade/shopping advisor app
Check out rabi-sedge's Landing page design contest…
WHAT IS SEDGE? Is it time for a new phone? Tell us about your current phone and what you’re aiming to get out of your upgrade, and Sedge's goal-based upgrade calculator will tell you if you should upgrade and if so, what you should upgrade to. We start from your goals, and work backwards to find the best path for you. Tell us about your current device and what you're aiming to get from your upgrade: we'll ask you about your goals* and how they rank. Our model is based on our database of product specs and sentiment signals that we measure from all over. We fit this through your goals to calculate your best upgrade path. Make it easy to help and be helped by your friends and family. Your best upgrade path forward includes a highlighted product comparison table. Ask for a second opinion, or share yours. WHO IS SEDGE FOR? Sedge's target audience is everyday, working-class Americans. We want to help every American make $400 of smarter online spending. Why $400? On average, for every $100 Americans spend on retail, they waste $20 more on returns online (28%) than in-person (8%). That adds up -- to $400 or more of the $1,600 the average American spends online. For the sake of your sanity, your wallet, and the environment, we think we can do better. We’d love for you to help us help you get there.
Light neutrals paired with aqua and green accents are ideal. We're looking to give off the vibe of a trustworthy, high-growth FinTech personal finance/shopping Roboadvisor company -- something like Robinhood, Stash or Dosh.
Elements to include in the landing page
LANDING PAGE I made a landing page mock in Bootstrap Shuffle: https://bootstrapshuffle.com/preview?project=7febfa5e68d6a3a8daba859e547c4ddd80541176&page=index.html&screen=top Take a look through the landing page mockup and you'll see the following elements in sequence: - Navbar - Hero (Header + subheader + CTA) - Features (Header + subheader + features 1-3) - CTA (Header + subheader + CTA ) - FAQs (Header + 5 expanding Q&As) - Social media/subscribe to updates footer (Header + CTA) Feel free to play with the visual communication and information structure as you see fit, but the copy should give you a sense of what the page should say and when. Ideally, I'd like you to be able to make use of the Bootstrap design system and component library (https://www.figmathemes.com/premium-libraries/figma-bootstrap-4-gui-component-library or similar), as we'll be using Bootstrap to actually build your design. But if it gets in the way of what would otherwise be a great design, don't worry about it. EMBEDDED RECOMMENDATION Take a look at www.robinhood.com and you'll see the landing page contains a mock phone with a Robinhood screen, showing the visitor exactly what they'll get. This is great and I'd like to have this concept for the Hero -- a mock phone with a Sedge recommendation result screen. I also made a mock of the recommendation results screen that the user will hypothetically share with friends & family: https://bootstrapshuffle.com/preview?project=7febfa5e68d6a3a8daba859e547c4ddd80541176&page=result.html&screen=top The recommendation results page is rough and needs to be developed further. I'd like to see it resemble this comparison page: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1660-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1080/4037vs3603 I'd like the Hero to contain a phone mock containing a mobile version of the recommendation result screen. In the mockup of that I sent, I put some numbers (1/500 overall) that you can convert into scores/percentages -- a device that ranked 1/500 has scored 100%, while a device that placed 350/500 can be scored at 30%. I'd like that to be shown in a radar chart like this ChartJS example (https://www.chartjs.org/docs/latest…radar.html) with edges for each of the 4 categories (overall, performance, battery life, cost). That way, viewers will see not just that we think it's 100% overall, but we can show them /how/ it actually works out that way. It's very likely that graphics for the hero header and feature 3 will need to depict the "calculated result" and show an embedded recommendation -- please take a look at aforementioned recommendation results page and UserBenchmark reference to get a sense of what I'm going for. This is the reward that will need to motivate the user to bother to go through the whole signup and onboarding process, so I need to it to be attractive and something that will convert.
I've attached a logo, wordmark and mockup from a previous design to give you a sense of where the brand currently stands. I love the logo but feel free to go in different direction typeface wise for the wordmark, and ignore the color palette on the app mockup -- free to go in your own direction. Only vector illustrations for stock image slots, please. Feel free to make or use your own. Strong preference for material from UI8 vector illustration packs (https://ui8.net/category/illustrations) -- it's pretty high quality and I have an all-access pass so I won't need to purchase additional stock. Here's a couple kits/vendors that you can be sure I'll sign off on: Packs: https://ui8.net/pablo-coronel/products/digital-banking-illustration-vol-2 https://ui8.net/etzylab/products/dagangan---e-commerce-and-business-line-illustration-pack https://ui8.net/pixelz-studio/products/carica-social-themed-illustration-kit Pack makers/more packs: https://ui8.net/growww/products Please feel free to communicate any questions or clarifications you need -- happy to respond ASAP. Looking forward to your submission! Preference for Sketch or Figma file.
