Margar70 got their new landing page design by running a design contest:
The Throwback Landing Page

Entertainment & The Arts
This is a one page website (landing page) to promote a movie that will eventually be distributed on this website, where users can pay/rent movie (probably using Vimeo on Demand API).
I want something fun and modern, maybe a hint of 1990s feel that will work well with the logo I will attach. the logo is red and black but open to suggestions.
Elements to include in the landing page
Need the area on top for the movie logo with cool background then on bottom like a blog feed. Showing only the latest article. THen also a social media feed like instagram. I was thinking maybe something super plain, like a colorful background, with a silohuetted image of something from the 1990s (car, tape casette) as the only visual. Then on left the logo of movie, and email input field to stay updated. Then maybe two expandable. One for SYNOPSIS and the other for THE LATEST. The synopsis will expand to show a short paragraph of the story. The latest will show some headlines or the most recent blog post. THen underneath we will show the Instagram feed. I am attaching some assets including my rough sketch. The SNL bumpers I am attaching as possibly the way to show the element. BTW, this is just an idea. I am open to ALL ideas.
Again, open to any ideas. I want this page to look modern and fun, inviting to anyone that sees it. Like they want to be part of this story.
