Straightforward but beautiful redesign for CityStash!

Our website presents a storage service called CityStash Storage, which is a new twist on self-storage. We pickup, store, and redeliver your stuff (see our website). The site also takes orders for customers. Our target audience is primarily individuals living in urban areas. Ages 25-50 in places like SF, LA, DC, San Diego, Chicago, Miami, Philly, Boston, etc. Some are having life event and needing to store stuff, some are choosing to de-clutter their small urban place.

We like a clean, simple style. Our current site reflects this, although it feels “inputted” instead of “designed”. We like the feel of the following sites: clutter.io, wunderlist.com, kultstudio.com.

What do you want to include on your landing page? We would like the new page to include the major elements in the page www.citystash.com/test-home-page/ and the attached rudimentary powerpoint slide. This includes: • We'd like the rotating ads to be above the “fold”, along with the simple text and big call to action button next to it. We're looking for your creativity on how to implement that artfully. • The "How it works" graphic is an important element and needs to quickly, simply, and beautifully convey the steps in how our service works. We have used various icons here, but we are open to suggestions on the exact implementation. • We really like various versions of the font Proxima Nova for the header, subheader, and body text, and we'd been looking at Brandon Grotesque for the ad and button text. But we're open to your ideas. • We really like the use of fonts on the wunderlist.com site where they use a thin font for one word and then a bolded version of it for other words in the same sentence or phrase. We do not want to over use this effect, but we believe it could be striking used at the top of the page with our tagline “We Pick Up. We Store. We Deliver.” We'd like our newpage to resemble the vibe and light airy feel of the clutter.io site, though not a copy. We need the site to include our colors (pantones # #376 (Green), #2985 (Blue), and #7545 (Grey)) and we like slightly rounded corners on things. We like simple, with clear call to action visuals. So, overall not a departure from what we have, but with a very slick implementation. One thing we need to point out is that we use a customizable template for our Wordpress site (the Enfold theme by Kriesi). So, ideally we'd like to be able to implement much of the design via that, but do not restrict this design to the specific capabilities of the template. However, as a first step, it would be good if the footer could be kept as-is. We like the cascading motif, where there are different sections as you go down the page, with a graphic on each that alternate left and right on the page.

We've attached a basic mockup. It is just showing one vision of the layout of elements. ***IMPORTANT!  We do like the notion of having an image (that conveys storage and organization) as the primary element on the top of fold.  But we are also committed to having the funny rotating ads in the top of fold.  We're looking for a design that creatively combines both somehow.  Be creative!***
