Alyson Whitney Company
Alyson Whitney is a designer who specializes in designing pet bereavement products. We offer a line of high end original works of art memorializing your beloved pet that can be placed in and around a person’s home.
Our target audience are art collectors, trendsetters, think outside of the box kind of people, business owners who take their pets with them to work, jet setters, fashion forward kind of people and ultimately one who loves and spoils their pet like a child.

Losing a pet is heartbreaking. A grieving person is looking for somewhere warm and inviting. A sense of familiarity that others have been where they are and that whom they are choosing to design a final resting place for them understands what they are going through.
I want the style/theme to exude warmth and confidence they’ve come to the right place. A sense of relief that they aren’t alone and that they are having the best resting place made for them and their beloved pet.
Showing emotion is important to portray through photos, colour and copy/stories.
Ultimately, Compelling stories. Inspiration. with a touch ecommerce.
The design should be clean and exude high design and simple words (less words, powerful words) Classy, easy to navigate and look and feel expensive.
This is a home page that will serve as a landing page.
Compelling stories + Images. Inspiration...with a touch ecommerce.
The sequence of our current layout (attached) should not be changed.
Let's connect box. Social sharing.
The examples above have more to do with design. I'd love to have found a site(s) that captured me emotionally but I've yet to run by any.
We don’t want a typical ecommerce home/landing page.
Customer buying experience: we want to connect with them with compelling stories of other pets, photos, experiences and other people and drive them into the gallery portion of the site so they can be inspired to hire us to uniquely make a custom urn.
That said, keep in mind that we have left a couple of ecommerce elements referencing the dog and cat urn collection b/c we don’t want to get so far away from ecommerce.
2 types of customers - those grieving looking for closure and those already beyond that part and are looking for the right piece to purchase.
Feel free to add or switch out images of people/pets except the last photo of the little girl and dog.
The stories on the attachment are real and shouldn't be altered.
The sequence should not change on the home page.
The “let’s connect” box is competing with the other elements on the site. Look forward to seeing a different design of this section.
Lastly, we do a fair amount of graphic design work year round, if deciding you want to participate - you may get a fair amount of work from us, year round, from our various companies.

I've attached a few other urns.
