Entertainment & The Arts
We created a new platform which enables people to create and run trivia games at social gathering events, such as family parties or company conferences. Our unique technology enables the event guests to join the games using their Smartphones (or any other internet-enabled device) and play together in real-time with the other guests while using their phones as "remote control" that operates the game. The game is run by the event organizer, that controls the game process. We divide the target audience into two main types: 1. 'Light' users - these users will typically want to run ready-made games from our library in small events (for example - thanksgiving dinner party). For these users we want to emphasize our extended library of ready-made trivia games, that can be played during the event in one click. 2. 'Advanced' users - these users will typically want to create a custom game with their own question and images, for a personal event (for example- birthday/anniversary party, company events and so on). For these users we would like to emphasize the ability to create custom games in advance. So our customers are the event organizers who will initiate the game, and are responsible for its success. This is our target audience.
We have an existing site, but since we want to start a 'clean slate', for the sake of creativity it is irrelevant to this contest.
We are seeking a very clean look, (to be implemented with HTML 5 and CSS3) having a very elegant and 'thin' illustration style that explained the concept but still leaves visual space for the very colorful game thumbnails below it.
Elements to include in the landing page
We would like to create a landing page that has 3 main sections: 1. Main image that conveys the concept of the platform. We need users to understand in 'one glimpse' the concept of our service (Phones-operated Trivia for social events - while the phones function as 'remote control') by looking at one central image (illustration or photo). For example, (see our ugly attached image) it may show a presenter standing on stage and run a trivia game on a large screen, while the audience answers it with their Smartphones, and a large hand standing out from the crowd, holding a Smartphone and "transmits" the answer to the screen. Please note this is only one suggested approach, and we will be happy to see other creative design approaches to convey this message in different ways. 2. Library of ready games thumbnails. Below the lead image we would like to show a scrollable library of ready games thumbnails. Clicking on them opens up a game preview popup, from which the user can choose either to play this game as-is or to customize it. 3. 'Learn More' section The third element on the screen is a more detailed "learn more" section, in the form of steps (1-2-3) which explain user how to create a custom game. (See attached sketch) The text for the landing page can be found at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16Rg0RVY1Dvsz5bhTYrqNGalv07v96yf1oE32kbtkiT0/edit?usp=sharing
We will ask the winning designer to keep working with us on a 1-to-1 basis, and create 2-3 templates for the inner pages of the site (according to our wireframes)
