This is the second step in creating our Corporate image. The style/colours should be drawn from our logo. The fonts for general content should be a clear readable font without a serif. The font for titles and subtitles etc. could be based upon the fonts used in the Logo. Those are BellGothicStd-Bold, BankGothicBold and Lobster1.4.
We're open-minded on the theme so long as the message is right: providing personalised recommendations of quality beers made near where you are. While we promote craft beers, all beers are within scope. We are looking for an image that conveys quality: we want to target people interested in appreciating beer, not getting drunk. This design should be adaptable to mobile devices screen. In the search for an image of quality we don't want to end up with a cold, sterile image either.
In terms of colour scheme we need to strike a balance: we don't want it too bright so that it gives the impression of not being serious but neither do we want it to be so dull it that is not remembered. Some use of bright colours MAY still be appropriate. Use of objects (taps, casks, vats etc.) or Textures (woods, metals etc.) that are associated with Breweries, Bars, Pubs etc. could be of use. However use of trademarked images or those with a strong association with an existing brand are not acceptable.
The overall design should clearly exude quality. It can include elements to imply the drinking or making of beer. Perhaps it could include some element that conveys the fact that we provide local (location) services on global scale, but this element is not entirely necessary: The overall design should not be cluttered for the sake of this.
