Real Estate & Mortgage
The website is for a property manager. Property managers are in charge of multiple properties that are owned by other people, but they rent the houses out and take care of them. The point of the landing page is to communicate to 2 people groups: 1) To get potential renters to rent houses from them 2) To get homeowners to allow them to manage their property So, this is how those goals can be met: 1. For renters: It should be easy to see and access the list of houses that could be rented 2. For home owners in the southwest florida area: they should feel like this is a good company that is excellent, professional, and trustworthy.
This site is for property managers in southwest florida; the logo itself already has some design flavors of that in it (the seagull, the setting sun), so the rest of the design should flow with that theme. The visuals shouldn't be "edgy", but professional and traditional, established. Many of the site visitors are older -- 50+ in age.
Elements to include in the landing page
We're picturing the landing page displaying information in a specific order: 1) Header with Logo and navigation Header with logo in it (take logo from current site). Navigation (preferably horizontal) should be: * Homes to Rent * Apply to rent * For Current Residents * For Owners * About us * Contact us 2) "Hero" image with text Use images of a home or homes. You can use the home photo on the current homepage. Or, if you have photos of smiling people in front of homes, that would work too. Display this text on top of the image: "See our beautiful homes to rent in sunny southwest florida!" The point is for people to click here, so it should be clear that this is clickable. 3) Main reasons to rent from them We have 3 points. Each should be displayed with an image or icon of some sort: 1. "We have many beautiful homes to choose from that will be just right for your family." 2. "One of the most desired locations in the world. Close to beautiful amusement areas and golf." 3. "Easy online access to let you pay your bill and submit maintenance requests" 4) Deeper details Show a list of "featured houses" and a map showing where houses are located. These will be widgets that get placed on the page that have some flexibility on their appearance, but not much, so it's best to keep the appearance similar to how they are pictured on this site: http://jonesboro4rent.com/ the widgets are on the bottom of the page. 5) Targeting homeowners directly This section could be under the previous content or to the side of content in areas #3 or #4 (above), if it can be laid out in a nice manner. Larger text: "Looking for a good property manager to rent out your home?" Show image of older gentleman or lady smiling Text: "We'll handle the details of the rental process, and give you fast online access to information you need, like: * info on renters * paperwork * home maintenance information. " Quote from a property owner: My limited experience with your company has taught me that I should leave the renting of property to your expertise as my judgement in this area would rate a 1 on a scale of 10. Thank you for my only pleasant rental experience of the many I have lived to regret. J. Pilcher, Fort Myers Button saying "Learn More" 6) Footer replication of navigation in smaller form. you may need to use other images of houses in the process. you can see all the houses on this page and get access to larger images here: http://realtyservicespropertymanagement.com/?page=rplistings (click on a house to see larger images) all the house images are watermarked, so if you need to you can use them and we'll try to get that house image non-watermarked to swap in permanently before using it.
