We crowdsource interior design. Think of us as the 99designs.com for interior design and home decor help.
I have laid out the structure in a Word Doc that I attached.
Elements to include in the landing page
Objective: Provide a flexible layout for repeated use. We are a crowdsourcing site, so we want to walk people through the process people took before they got their end result. We are in the interior design space, so it has to be very image based. It should tell a “story” as you work your way down the page. The person started with X amount as their budget, they paid X amount on our site, they uploaded some images, got a few designs, and picked the winning design. Our actual process works a lot like the process here at 99designs. Be sure to leave some places for text. Possibly put in a place or two for a quote in larger text. Here is a very basic example of what one of my competitors does on their blog. I want mine to be a landing page though, so we need a call to action at the end. http://stories.tastemaker.com/before_after/juan-vasquez/ I’d like to work with the designer after the project to design an email template that looks similar to this landing page. I would also LOVE if we could turn these into an infographic as well. Here is how I would like this page laid out… Name of Project City, State Design: $x,xxx Budget: $x,xxx Winning Designer: (Show a headshot and the designers name) Introductory text: Put in a paragraph of text so we can explain a little bit about the project. We will want to be able to edit this for every case study, so make sure we can use a few sentences or a few paragraphs if we had to. Before Images: This will be a spot for 4 Before Images Design Submissions: This section will be another place for images. Let’s do 4 images in this section. Winning Design: This section will display the winning design. It will be 1 of the 4 from the section above. Deliverables: This section will show two images. One is called “Custom Space Plan” and the other image is a “Complete Shopping List” Call to Action Section: At the end of the page, we want to prompt people to start their own project. We will need a clear headline, a sub headline, a little bit of text, and two form fields: Email and Room Type End the page with a nice clear call to action button. You can match the orange from our site.
