Timeline: October 2011 - Dr Grant Scarborough invited to start clinic in Columbus. First patient Mrs Cookie who was diagnosed with throat cancer before clinic even opened. January 19 2012: Clinic opened with a lot of help and enthusiasm from community. Early 2012: An employee stole money from the clinic but community rallied around to provide more support. Dec 2012: 7 exam rooms and 3 providers 2013: Counseling services started 2013: Bought additional land to expand clinic 2013: First Gala - mystery theater July 2014: MercyMed merges with Good Shepherd Clinic Fall 2014: Masquerade Gala Dec 2014: First patient - Mrs Cookie - recovered from cancer. She was a catalyst in the neighborhood for the clinic. Fall 2016: Illuminate Gala Dec 2016: MercyMed opens Expanded Clinic January 2017: MercyMed starts its Dentistry division Fall 2018: MercyMed opens School-Based Health Center at Fox Elementary School. Fall 2018: Old Towne Gala 2019: Establishment of the Farm, to provide fresh food for the community. October 2019: MercyMed begins its Physical Therapy program April 2020: Facilitated mass testing for COVID-10 and treatment of COVID-19-positive patients 2020: MercyMed's Farm FV/Rx program started September 2020: Dr Grant Scarborough wins the New York award and clinic is awarded $50,000. Fall 2020: Come Fly with Me Gala
