Animal & Pet
Fearless Alpaca is a start-up brand name for pet products to be sold on Amazon and other online retailers. The target audience is groomers and pet owners.
What's your vision?
I've got a specific concept I'd like to explore with you all. I'd like to see it drawn in various art styles. Concept: The alpaca needs to be sheared similar to a poodle (see examples). It's intended to be funny looking. The alpaca needs to be full of pride and confidence. Show this with facial expressions and stance. Make it stand with pride like the deer or have it rear up like the horse (see attached). Use body language. It's supposed to be freshly sheared so draw a fleece pile at its feet. Keep the pile size similar to the concept examples. Make it look realistic, but don't draw any genitals. Its head can have an amusing haircut, see attached for examples. Keep the legs and tail unshaved. However, the legs can be half shaved to the knee like the concept example. Draw in your personal and best art style. I want to explore this. Be sure to draw in your own imagining of the concept. Do not heavily copy the examples. Keep the background empty and transparent. There's no need for extra props or objects. This will be mass printed so make sure its print friendly by making it a vector or a large 300dpi raster with minimized color count. The color count is flexible if it really adds to the artwork. Summary: Sheared alpaca Standing proud (see attached for Proud Deer or Rearing Horse) Fresh fleece pile at its feet Realistic anatomy (no genitals) Amusing haircut Unshaved legs (can be lower half only like example) Unshaved tail Draw in your best art style Do not copy the concept examples, redraw in your own imagining Transparent background Vector or 300dpi Raster (must be print ready) Minimize color count (flexible)
Rules can be broken if it results in something unexpected and impressive. EDIT 12/30/14 6PM PST: I've attached a new photo of a pig that has the right mood. It's funny, proud, ridiculous, yet confident. I want people to smile when they see my alpaca. It needs to invoke emotion. If you can create the alpaca equivalent of that pig, you'll nail the contest.
