We are looking for card art for our upcoming game “Top Banana”. Because this is card art, the art needs to look good when printed 1.5” x 2”.
We need a total of 12 individual pieces: 10 different fruits, a bowl, and a bowl of fruit. The style should cartoony with cute, smiling, happy fruit. I’m thinking a style similar to the game Sushi Go.
Each of the fruit should be visually distinct from each other. They don’t need to look like the actual fruit as much as the idea of the fruit. None of the fruit should have arms or legs or be bitten or peeled. Color is important, the apple is a red apple, the grapes are purple grapes. Between two fruit of the same color, they should be different shades.
The cards are specifically:
Apple – Red apple, like a red delicious.
Strawberry – Red and ripe.
Banana – Ripe and yellow with minimum bruising.
Lemon – A Yellow lemon.
Lime – Smallish green lime.
Pear – Green and distinctly pear-shaped.
Orange – An orange orange.
Peach – Should appear orangeish.
Grapes – A bunch of Purple Grapes.
Plum – A Red/purple plum.
Bowl – An empty fruit bowl.
Card Backs – Should include the title “Top Banana” and feature a bowl of fruit. This art might also be used as the box cover.
The game is a simple, family-friendly game where a bunch of fruits jockey for the best position in a fruit bowl.
