Matthew.combs got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Tentacle Application Illustrations/Icons
Check out Matthew.combs's Illustration or graphics contest…
We’re seeking to add key illustrations to our application in specific areas to provide inspiration, polish, and visual appeal to what we’re doing. Tentacle is building an industry disruptive application for the information security and cyber security space that will be utilized by enterprise security and infosec teams. The application is built on an ultra modern tech stack, and has been designed and developed with simplicity, ease of use, efficiency, and visual appeal in mind. Although we have embraced the aquatic theme to much of what we’re doing, we’re not looking to dilute the perception of what we’re doing by “going overboard” with that theme - therefore - we’re seeking illustrations that allow us to maintain a technical, secure, intelligent, and disciplined reputation with our users. Security is no joke - and it sure isn’t a cartoon; we have to make sure to avoid others thinking we don’t respect the seriousness of this space. Additional Information: - The aquatic/water theme should never be direct. If referenced in the art it should always be a subtle wink. - No fish, aquatic animals, anchors, boats, pirates, seagulls, or other screaming references to water should be used. - Imagine a complex technical network or infrastructure as the bottom of the ocean. We are all about particles and other winks to the deep ocean if done tastefully. Again, marine winks are not required by any means. - Sophistication and security are major themes. We assume minimalistic elements, thin lines, and subtle color usage would be some approaches to achieve these goals. Illustration A - User has just submitted email to complete secure registration process. - Imagery should convey the following: a) An email was sent, message was sent, secure link was sent, etc b) Should convey security more than just “an email went out”. Illustration B - User has just finished a process that has narrowed down the addressable content in the app. They will then address this content with responses and documentation of those responses. - Imagery should convey the following: a) A process has completed b) Something technical or “smart” has happened. c) This thing that has happened is positive and will save me time.
