Team mascot/illustration for 99designs development team

Our team works on the part of the 99designs website that helps connect designers with clients.

We would like an illustration or mascot to represent our team. We are looking for a fun and powerful image that we can use as a team symbol internally at 99designs. We’d like something fun, colourful, graphic and ideally a cartoon style animal character/characters rather than lifelike. The illustration should ideally convey that our part of the 99d system is focussed on that initial connection between designers and clients. It does not need to be super literal though. For example: the character could be an octopus because they’re smart, flexible and have tentacles which are symbolic of connections. Open to all creative ideas! Given our team name is very long we are happy to use the acronym “99d C&WO Squad” if text is included in the design. We would also want the design to be easily adjustable if we change the team name in the future.
