VoteSustainable got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Sustainable Population Party - Australia's Population Explosion
Check out VoteSustainable's Illustration or graphics contest…
Australian political party. Targeting all Australians, particularly voters (18 years +).
What's your vision?
Aim: Show graphically the change in Australia's population size over the 21st Century. Colours: White background, with use of blue, red, green and white, as per attached logo. Heading (blue): AUSTRALIA'S POPULATION EXPLOSION Sub heading: In 2008 and 2009, Australia's population growth rate was over 2%, nearly double the world average. If we continued to grow at 1.5 to 2%, as big business advocates, what would Australia's population grow to this century*? Image 1: 2000 = 19 million Image 2: 2014 = 23 million Image 3: 2050 = 40 million Image 4: 2100 = 80 to 100 million (Images should be of Australia growing like a balloon to the point of explosion, progressively, from left to right. Ideally use attached (plain - no writing) SPP logo getting bigger and the map of Australia getting more distorted/destroyed/ballooning?) Text across page under images: Australia needs #RealGrowth, not population growth. That's growth in quality of life, not quantity. Add smaller text at bottom left of image: *All projections estimated based on recent 1.5 to 2% annual growth, meaning a doubling time of just 35 to 45 years.
Our website and logo somewhere at the bottom, say bottom right: Logo attached. http://www.PopulationParty.org.au Size: Size of infographic should be 980w x 344h pixels, for online use.
