Community & Non-Profit
We are a Not For Profit organization that works with elementary and middle school kids to raise money through fundraisers. The fundraisers are directed at elementary and middle school kids and based on encouraging the kids to sell Pizza Cards (instead of the traditional chocolates). These pizza cards double your order at participating Dominos Pizza locations - so with this card, if you order 1 pie of pizza you get a second pie for free - or 10 pies of pizza you get 20, etc. Depending on how many cards the kids sell, they get rewarded a number of prizes ranging from Playstation Gaming Consoles, to bikes, and skateboards.
What's your vision?
We are producing a 30 second animation to open for the fundraising presentation which will be given to kids in school auditoriums. The animation will be based on a character we are creating called the Pizza Professor. The Pizza Professor is a funny character/mascot for this campaign and is a mix between a Baker, Mad Scientist and a Professor. The goal of this character is to make the kids laugh and get excited about the fundraiser so it is imperative that the character is a lot of fun and a bit crazy! The setting for the Pizza Professor is the back pizza kitchen of a Dominos pizzaria. I would suggest asking the illustrator to search images for “Domino’s Pizza Theater.” They have completely re-imaged their stores and this art should connect to our brand, Domino’s. That is incredibly important. Check out this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=Domino%27s+Pizza+theater&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=798&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwig2MfjztfLAhUDax4KHQTQCXEQsAQIGw#imgrc=rntiROXuHJg0SM%3A All stores have steps that lead little ones to a Plexiglas viewing area of the “Dough Show.” It’s pretty awesome. They also have a chalk board in every store: https://www.google.com/search?q=Domino%27s+Pizza+theater&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=798&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwig2MfjztfLAhUDax4KHQTQCXEQsAQIGw#imgrc=DomnuODniw7D2M%3A With this said, we are looking for the following final deliverables: 1. Crazy looking Pizza Professor character 2. Dominos Pizza Kitchen - a fun environment based on the above mentioned references. The pizza kitchen "set" would include: pizza oven, pizza slices and pies and boxes, a chemistry set with beacons and flasks all over the place, a chalk board with pizza pies and formulas written all over it, and anything else that would look fun for this animation. We would require the inside of the kitchen as well as a funny looking rendition of a Dominos Pizzaria exterior. The animation will begin with a tracking shot of the outside of the Dominos and will track shot into the interior of the back kitchen set described above.
We have attached a description of the actual storyline for the animation (once we take the illustrations you create and put it to motion). It is also important that we don't make this look generic or stock - we are looking for something very original. Take a look at a sample of an illustration that did not work for us as a guildline to build on. A few notes on the attached illustration that we hope to improve: Test tubes just look copied and pasted into a stock chef in a restaurant. Same with the pizza. Doesn’t feel cohesive. The smoke is transparent and the steam from the test tube is solid. Also, we're not wild about the professor. We're not sure what we thought, but we thought he was really going to be crazy and crack us up.
