E!! got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Photoshop famous Uncle Sam "I Want You" poster into "Auntie Sam Wants You... To Do As You Are Told"
Check out E!!'s Illustration or graphics contest…
We make fun of meddling, overstepping governmental entities. Think: City Councils and County Commission Zoning Boards and Stage Regulatory Agencies Gone Wild. We cover the kind of stories that everyone - regardless of political affiliation - can agree are stupid. Like an ordinance that prevents someone from trimming a tree in their own yard. Our target audience is everyone and anyone. We want to (1) make people laugh, (2) inspire people forward/share the icon/illustration and (3) make people remember the icon/illustration.
What's your vision?
We want this image: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Unclesamwantyou.jpg photoshopped into a sort of Martha Washingtonesque drag attire, complete with hair and bonnet and dress -- but NOT changing the face or beard or pointing finger. We want the text across the bottom to closely emulate the original font and graphic design and say: I WANT YOU TO DO AS I TELL YOU (so: the words "nearest recruiting station" will be deleted) This image of Martha Washington is suitable to work from, to get an idea of the hair and bonnet: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Washington Essentially, we want a duplicate of the original recruiting poster including the familiar face of Uncle Sam - but feminized, without changing the overall look and feel. Optimally people who see it will do a "WTH" double-take, then laugh, Like, and forward to their friends.
The image will be used on our website and Facebook page as well as the avatar for our Twitter account. It will also be turned into banner and button ads for the web, and will also later possibly made into stickers, t-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, etc.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Illustration or graphics starts at $349.
