How johnowl started their illustration or graphics journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
It is going to be the cover to a book, and put on products representing the title of the ministerial counseling
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
It has to have "Healing the human and the being" as title, and John Owl as author. As a background understanding, it is self help given to those who suffer from PTSD, Abuse, and any kind of traumatic events. It is to be encouraging, from dark to light, negative to positive, light at the end of a tunnel, climbing out of a pit of despair, that type of dramatic movement. This is the first thing someone will see when they go on Amazon, or ITunes and find my product. It has to not only say my title, it has to convey negative to positive by looks in a matter of seconds. In the future it will also become a book cover. THERE CAN BE NO STOCK WORK IN THIS, 99 made sure to ask me to tell you this. My product is actually audio recordings that are listened to as sessions. I have been asked to also write a book in the near future to also explain all this.
I am open to what you have to show, just please realize this is going onto package covering, possible book cover... it will represent my brand when people see it. I am a shaman, energy handler. The title is,"Healing the human and the being".... the body and the spirit as some would say. USE THAT
This is something my wife wrote to explain what I can not:
As someone who has listened to John Owl talk about this project for 13 years, these are some of the words that come to mind that might help in thinking about different ways of interpreting his project:
Allows a person to look past an “incident/traumatic event” that caused energy to be trapped within the memory of that “incident”.
Allows a person to let go of the energy that they have assigned to an “incident” (and thus to any similar incident going forward) allowing them to truly see the experience for what it was and not tap into the energy that they trapped into that incident causing them to react and feel that incident from the same place as the time it occurred. In essence allowing them to view the incident apart from experiencing the incident, accepting responsibility for their part in the incident or realizing that what happened was not their responsibility. Accepting the parts played by others and being able to see the incident from all angles, not just the one they experienced initially. In seeing the incident from all angles perhaps you come to understand why someone did what they did or why you reacted the way you did. Once you have that information you can look at different experiences you’ve had since then and see the impact of the incident and in that way prevent repeating any behavior that you don’t want to.
Imagine a prism of time. As you look through the prism you can see what led up to the incident, what happened in the incident, what was happening around the incident, what transpired after the incident, how the incident affected your view on other incidents or perceived incidents.
