Life after death – key illustrations for EVERURN
Check out alan.cucknell's Illustration or graphics contest…
Everurn Ltd. is a young, ambitious enterprise dedicated to celebrating loved ones’ by providing better experiences following cremation. In 2005, following the calamitous scattering of his grandfather's ashes, Jake and his father began exploring better ways to store and scatter cremation ashes that are worthy of our loved ones. Everurn is our first product – it is specially designed to give family and friends the flexibility to decide what to do with loved ones' cremation ashes. It allows them to keep ashes securely, scatter them respectfully (when they are ready) and create a truly personal memory (e.g. as a hanging flowerpot). It is easy to personalise and is handmade in the UK using 100% natural materials. Our target customers are likely to be either (i) personal planners or (ii) loved ones. • Personal planners are individuals who are preparing for their own funeral/cremation. They will be planning how they would like their funeral service to run, how they want their ashes to be treated and how they want to be remembered. • Loved ones are helping to care for the remains of their recently deceased family or friends. They may already have ashes stored from a previous cremation, or they may be preparing to receive ashes after a cremation and are looking for the right way to care for them and to remember their family or friends. For both categories of consumers it is important that the communications are simple, clear and sensitive to the nature of the product and topic.
What's your vision?
Ideally one (or possibly two) images to describe the "stages of use" / “product journey” and EVERURN's unique features. The stages of use (and an example of wording that might accompany the images) are: 1 – Personalise: Customize Everurn with pen, paint, rope and much more... 2 – Storage: A natural, secure and attractive way to store ashes between cremation and scattering. 3 – Scatter: When you choose and how you choose. 4 – Remember: A lasting, personal memorial as special as you are (e.g. the image might include personalised hanging flowerpot?) The product features we want to communicate (with example text) are: • top aperture: for loading ashes and for planting after scattering, closed by a large natural cork lid; • bottom aperture: for scattering ashes, closed by a small cork plug. Also acts as a drainage hole when the Everurn is used as a flowerpot; • fastening holes: which can be used for decoration or to suspend the urn (e.g. as a hanging flower pot). Given the audience and topic, its most important that the image is clear and concise. Ideally we would plan to use the same set of images/storyboard on our website, as part of a crowdfunding campaign, product brochures and product packaging.
I'm looking for your input and creativity to help bring this important product to life to help improve the way that we mourn and remember our loved ones. Thank you for getting involved!
