Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are not a business. We are a small group (8) of adventurists who come together a few times each year to explore different regions of the world through vehicle based expeditions. Basically, we are friends having a great time exploring the back-country areas of our world. The road less travelled is our preferred route. We don't take things to seriously and have a great time. The journey is more important than the destination.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I'm looking for an awesome logo/illustration that we can use on shirts, patches, stickers, and even on our vehicles (Jeeps and Raptors).
We named ourselves the Honey Badgers one night after a few two many adult beverages around a campfire. I'll put the link to a video that somewhat embodies who we are. We don't give a sh!t. The video is off color, so fair warning if you are offended easily.
I'm picturing a cartoonish honey badger with bloodshot eye driving a jeep (or other offload vehicle) with a beer held high. Or something along those lines. So many Overland logos/illustrations are so serious. We want something fun and irreverent. In real live we are all engineers and business owners, etc. On this trips we get to let our hair down a bit and "not give a sh!t". Think of the old Rat Fink illustrations. So in summary, honey badger, irreverent, off road, expedition, innuendo etc.
The illustrations that I am attaching are examples of other overland patches/logos. I'm not showing them as what I like, just examples of what others have done. I'll also attach some images of some logos I like that are not related. The first two images (monkey and rat) are pretty cool. The next three pictures are some of our vehicles and one of our resident morons holding a beverage out the window of his rental jeep while having some fun. The last six images are patches and logos of other overland groups. I want ours to be cooler than theirs. I want ours to go to eleven.
