Engaging and stylish design for aspirational teen education program
Check out Chelsea_Keller's Illustration or graphics contest…
Above The Influence of Vaping (ATI-V) is a vaping use prevention program. It is led by teen Peer Leaders and targets other teens. It is based around positive messaging, including aspiration building, autonomy and competence. The focus of the program is positive social norming.
What's your vision?
We are looking to have an educational tool designed that will display the three main concepts of the ATI-V prevention program: “My Reasons” “Got My Back’ and “Facts.” It will incorporate the “Above The Influence” arrow in some way. The design should be appealing to teens, including styles that feel edgy and cool. It will clearly convey these three protective factors while having a youthful tone. Looking for something without many words but conveys concepts visually and emotionally. We would like it to be colorful without feeling cluttered. For your reference during design here is a description of the 3 main concepts: My Reasons - Teens knowing and having confidence in their personal reasons to rise above vaping Got My Back - Teens knowing peers and adults that support them. For this part of the design we like the image of the 3 figures side by side used in the “kinship” portion of the attached image. Facts - Gaining and sharing knowledge about accurate information with their peers
We do not want stock images. We do not want images of vaping products or related imagery (for example clouds of smoke.) This is a positive toned program and should feel inspiring. In reference to the Wingman Connect Logo: we feel this educational tool clearly conveys the four given concepts, we feel we have not yet achieved this with the ATI-V images.
