We grow and sell blood oranges, blood orange juice, and other blood orange products from our home in the riverina of NSW AUSTRALIA
What's your vision?
The brief is to create some graphics for use in POS materials and also in social media. The purpose of the graphics is to convince supermarket shoppers to choose to buy blood oranges rather than regular navel oranges. We wish to do this by concentrating on the nutritional and health related properties of blood oranges when compared to regular oranges and other fruits. What we want initially is a a5 sized graphic. This will be used by greengrocers and supermarkets. They will mount it above the bay in which the blood oranges are sold. They would usually be beside regular Navel oranges. What we want is do design a cartoon like, superhero type character that can represent blood oranges. We want to portray the blood orange the superhero variety of all fruits. These are the points we want to get across: 1. Oranges are traditionally known for their role in boosting immunity. Vitamin C and the other nutrients (Vit C, Vit A, Folate, K+, Ca++, antioxidants, flavonoids) in oranges are central to this. 2. Berries have in more recent times been recognised as disease fighting sources of antioxidants (think açai and blueberries). 3. Blood Oranges combine the best of both fruit worlds. They have all of the usual nutrients of oranges that make them get for boosting the immune system and they also have VitaminRED which are potent nutrients that also give berries and blood oranges their distinct vibrant RED colour. They are also considerably cheaper and more filling than buying berries and citrus individually. 4. We wish to focus on the additional "VitaminRED" that provides that 1 Blood Orange has the same antioxidant scavenging capacity of 10 navel oranges. They have 2x the Vitamin A of navel oranges. 5. We want to have a bit of a superhero theme. A hero in uncertain times. This superhero fruit bestows heath and wellbeing in a time of pandemic and malaise. All of this information can be extracted from our health report and health report overview which we have attached. Once we have developed the character in this setting, we will want to continue the theme of using the character in other settings to deliver alternative messages.
