We require a graphic diagram to demonstrate how our software works. The graphic we previously designed for this purpose has become outdated, and we need to add components to it without making it too complex - it needs to be easy to understand.
The old graphic (attached) is a puzzle piece design. Where each vertical puzzle piece is a category and each horizontal puzzle piece is a component which belongs in that category. We would like to keep the puzzle piece design as it communicates that all the components fit together to make one solution.
I have done a draft edit (attached) of what we would like the new graphic to look like, to show which components we need to add to the old graphic. The difference between the old graphic and the new graphic is the additional components in the new graphic. It is essential that these components are included in the design.
The old graphic is a 3D model, however for this design you do not need to make a 3D model. You also do not have to stick with the style of the old graphic, e.g. the colours etc., please feel free to be creative.
The most essential parts of the design are:
- Make it communicate that these components (puzzle pieces) work together
- Make it simple to understand
- Make it buildable, so that we can update the design in the future when we introduce new components
- Make it consistent: the draft created is rough. It needs to be tidied up by putting the categories in alphabetical order, then the components within the categories in alphabetical order too. The fonts should be consistent sizes, and the pieces should be consistent sizes too.
Thank you! If you have any questions just ask.
