Chantink was wonderfully patient as we worked through editing her winning design. Of all the designs that came in our contest, Chantinks was the most creative!

Who are you known as?
The Center for Behavioral Health Innovation (BHI)
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
BHI works with shoulder to shoulder with community partners to evaluate and improve behavioral health practice and outcomes for underserved populations. BHI’s primary strategies for improving practice are: 1) monitoring and evaluation (collecting, analyzing, and feeding back local evidence to stakeholders), 2) knowledge translation (seeking and synthesizing scholarly evidence in a way that is understandable and actionable), and 3) training and technical assistance. The target audience for BHI is a wide range of stakeholders from community members, consumers and practitioners to program management, academics and students, policy makers, and funders.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
BHI is seeking a cover graphic for an existing report template. Positioned under the report title, the graphic will: 1) reflect the potential for evidence to empower people to make informed decisions; 2) convey BHI’s innovative, fresh spirit—we’re nerdy/hip; 3) signal the audience that they are reading another interesting, brief, on-target BHI report!
We’ve struggled with developing this graphic. Lots of images including some that we’ve attached below seem to us tired and predictable. We are hoping that having many designers work on this problem with a fresh perspective will yield creative ideas. We have other potential design projects as well when we find a creative solution to this one. We’ve attached our report template without a graphic; the BHI colors; two sketches of possible cover graphic concepts; 3 examples of BHI work; as well as a link to a Pinterest board (http://pin.it/9b06D-D) of images we like. We encourage designers to build off these ideas or to go in new directions. Thanks and look forward to seeing what you create!
