elizabethjoanschaefer got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Design Aerial (Birds Eye View) Map Imaginary and Real-Fun, Old Fashioned!
Check out elizabethjoanschaefer's Illustration or graphics contest…
Publishes amusing, imaginary stories and essays that take place on a college campus with imaginary students, teachers, and the campus itself is imagined. The readership is college teachers.
What's your vision?
I would like designed a map graphic. It will be from an aerial perspective (bird's eye view). I have created an imaginary college "Whimsor College" and I have selected a real location for it. (In the city of Columbia, Missouri U.S.) I have attached some graphics for your reference. 1.) A graphic that shows the aerial view I would like. You will see it is a genuine place. Please stay basically true to that. (Do NOT include those blue arrows I included. Those are only for your reference so you know what the street names and the creek name are since you will be adding these names to the map.)ALSO - Do not include all the tiny streets. Only the ones I mark with those arrows for your reference. 2.) Two sample old style maps. You can use these as a style reference. If you decide to modify the style a bit, that is fine too. Unlike the attachments, please have some color in your map. 3.) The front of the imaginary campus building. Try to imagine this from an aerial perspective.
I will need a print friendly and a web friendly version of this, please. As it will be used for both my book and my website. Thank you! I'm excited to see your creations!
