michalfinegold got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Cute hand-made style items for kids' animation app
Check out michalfinegold's Illustration or graphics contest…
We make apps that let you make animated videos out of your artwork, your toys, your friends - anything you want! Very popular with kids and schools.
What's your vision?
We want to add some cute items to our flagship app, PuppetMaster. It lets kids make animated videos out of their own artwork or toys or anything else they want, and they can also use the puppets and backgrounds we provide. You can see the app here: www.puppetmaster.com Check out the screenshots, you'll see we use a variety of hand made styles for the puppets and backgrounds. The style is eclectic and colorful. We want to now add a few more things that the user can add to their puppets and scenes: Hats, hand held props, and background props. These will be tied to themes that suggest a story. So for this contest we'll do 3 themes. It's several different items, but each one should be fairly simple, not overly detailed, because it's just one small object that gets added to the scene. Witch/Wizard Theme Hat: witch or wizard hat Handheld Prop: a broom or a wand, I'm happy with either so you can choose Background Prop: cauldron (like witches use to cook potions up) Pirate Theme Hat: Pirate Hat Handheld Prop: treasure map Background Prop: treasure chest - maybe open with jewels spilling out? Royal Theme Hat: Crown (like a king or queen would wear) Handheld Prop: scepter (like queens might hold sometimes) Background Prop: throne The visual style should be eclectic and colorful, fitting with our look. I like including hand-made looking techniques like painting and drawing, or including textures of real paper or gemstones or even clay. Of course you shouldn't do ALL of those ideas, these are simple objects. But do keep in mind it should still look good, more polished and professional than what the average person can create. Thank you! [IMPORTANT NOTE: this brief has been recently edited, to narrow the scope. apologies if you spent time doing another theme, but don't worry, if you already did a "fire fighter hat" or any other thing, I could still pick those as the winners! I will want many themes for my app, and hope to find artists in this contest who I can then work with one-on-one for more types of hats and props. So if you did other themes, it's cool!]
