We need artwork for our show title, in a variety of formats.
The title for each year's show is usually a play on some popular movie, TV show, or other popular cultural event. Past show titles have included Mrs. Reasonable Doubtfire, 101 Damn Motions, My Big Fat Geek Lawyer, and Scumbag Billionaire, among others. I have attached examples of artwork from a few past shows.
This year, the title of the show is "Kinky Suits" - after the broadway show "Kinky Boots."
We would like a show logo that is a takeoff on the Kinky Boots logo (attached). Although "Suits" can mean lawsuits, we have had trouble translating that to good artwork - instead, we would prefer to make the "Suits" legal apparel worn in the courtroom - but "kinky."
If possible, I would like to keep the lettering sparkly red like the original Kinky Boots logo - but am willing to consider alternatives.
Our scriptwriters have thrown out the following ideas - we would like to see designs that incorporate some/all of these ideas, but we are also open to alternatives:
- Pinstripe lettering
- Pant-suited legs instead of boots, with shoes (wingtips or heels) at the bottom
- A tie as an exclamation point at the end
- Some think one of the legs of the K should be male (with a wingtip), one a female (with stilettos) - I am concerned this might not translate well.
