Clean Lunar Cat Illustration

BRIEF I am looking for an illustration to hang in my office in memory of my cat, Gus. He’s a grey tabby with green eyes and he has a signature notch in his right ear from his early days as a stray (pictured). In addition to Gus, I would like to see your interpretation of the moon. The visual relationship/integration between Gus and the moon is up to you. My initial idea was to have an illustration of the moon with Gus’ ears peaking out from behind (pictured) but this is not a requirement, just a concept. It’s important that you are able to take creative liberty and let your personal style shine. My home (where this piece will live), is quite minimal and muted (white, grey and sage green with black accents) so I’d prefer a simple colour palette - not necessarily monochromatic (though it could be.) I am open to colour but nothing flashy or intense. I would prefer a clean white background. My personal taste is usually in the realm of flat, geometric/line art, playful or similar but if you have your own style that you think would suit this project, give it a go as I am not married to those exclusively!
