What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want a character designed to be used and marketed as the face of our brand. The character itself is basically the bean of an edamame (soy bean) which is to be animated (like a cartoon) with a Japanese influence.
The bean should be some shade of green (check the images) with him wearing some type of black bandanna cap (also shown in the images). I attempted to create something basic to give you all a general idea of the structure. The face and eyes should be fierce but also light and friendly. Maybe add a white pointed chin beard? For now he doesn't have hands and feet but there's room for creativity. I'm open to see and give feedback on any variations but the main theme is Japanese traditional Ninja. The name is actually "The Edamame Ninja" and it should be included directly below the character. Finally, there is a sword component. I'd want them to look like they are hanging on his back. The handle of the swords should be the pod of the soy bean with the blade part coming out. I have tried to illustrate this the best I can but its up to you guys to play with the concept of one sword, two swords, the location of the sword(on his back or holding it in a fighting stance).I've also posted some animation styles I liked.
