chad WA got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Camo Pattern Tile Set Camouflage for Work Wear
Check out chad WA's Illustration or graphics contest…
Company will produce performance products for three main categories, listed below. Our niche will be utilizing (3) different camouflage patterns targeting these categories individually by incorporating elements from each into the camo patter (ex. tools, gas mask etc into workwear pattern while utilizing a redfish, boat, etc into the fishing category). Workwear- gloves, hard hats, safety products, apparel and more Fishing- gloves, sun protection, apparel and more Hunting- gloves, apparel, and more. Target Market Our initial focus will be on oilfield workers (roughnecks, pipeliners, welders and so on) by developing products that appeal to them in their worklife and their hobbies. The oilfield is not just a job to these guys but a way of life. The vast majority of the field is also into hunting, fishing, offroad, etc which is what ties them together. The majority of fisherman I know work in the industrial or oilfield and the same goes for hunters. 1. Workwear- Oilfield workers, Industrial personnel, mechanics, contractors. 2. Fishing- All fisherman but main focus on saltwater anglers, Boaters 3. Hunting- Hunters and offroad enthusiast
What's your vision?
Camouflage pattern for any of the 3 categories (fishing, hunting, work). The design must be set up like a tile set so that it can be utilized on any size object. The camouflage pattern needs to incorporate elements from the perspective category and I have outlined a few examples below. WORKWEAR- Oilfield tools, Oil Rig, Oil derrick, Wrenches, Gas Mask, Welding helmet, Welding Torch, Symbols, Scenes, etc. FISHING- (Emphasis on saltwater fishing elements) Redfish, Trout, Boats, fish scales as overlay (look at Kryptek camo) fishing equipment, etc. HUNTING - Guns & weapons, game animals, Animal Skulls, Brush, offroad toys, etc. (This is the one pattern that needs to actually serve as camouflage therefore less emphasis can be placed on the elements selected). DESIGNERS CHOICE & SOUTH TEXAS CAMO Designers are welcome to submit just any badass camo that they may come up with or a camo pattern that can be marketed to South Texas hunters, therefore would need to work in those surrounding. The S. Tx camo will be needed soon. Any and all designers that show a great style that is what we are looking for will have opportunities for many other designs. Designers are welcome to pick any pattern they wish to work on. I am also not opposed to some of the elements crossing between categories as a glove used for offroad sports could be the hunting camo or the workwear camo. This is why i spent extra time explaining the target market. **NOTE** I DO NOT want anything to look "cartoon" like. I want the pattern to look good overall and the elements used to almost be the secondary focus. I named off a few brand name patterns that I really like in the "Other" category below. The pattern needs to be designed in such a way that it will still work using no more than 3-4 colors, or shades of one color like a gray scale.
Looking for a design with a "dark" flare to it but not over the top.I am not sure of the best description but almost a graffiti style. Most patterns will be printed on either a gray scale or utilizing several shades of same color. I DO NOT want anything that looks cartoon like. I would almost recommend taking a cool camo pattern and working backwards by changing the shapes into the elements used. A few patterns that I really like have been listed below just to get an idea of the styles that appeal. Kryptek (favorite and gave me the fish scales idea) Sitka Kamysh urban camos digital camos
