James Delong got their new icon or button by running a design contest:
Rubber Ducky Emoji / Sticker Pack

Animal & Pet
This is something I am working on with my 9 year old daughter so there isn't an organization but as far as the target audience it is for those with a liking of Rubber Duckies
What's your vision?
Show off your design skills with custom emoji "stickers" for messaging apps. For this first round, please submit 4-6 examples so we can get an idea of your designs skills and style. I would like a complete set of a 12 "stickers" in a pack with illustrations of Rubber Duckies, in various situations/attitudes, being cute and/or funny. Think reaction stickers for message apps type of thing. If need be, some can have text next to image to help with reactions. (Integrating text to add context to the sticker should always be considered, but not necessarily required) These are meant to be reactions in conversation or to convey a feeling of emotions like angry, sad, happy, etc'.. I would like to have the designs built so that they will want to use these stickers on a daily basis with all their conversations where they would normally enter in those smiley, happy, sad, lol, etc.. faces. Below are the 12 different emotions and designs I would like to have created for a complete 12 sticker pack. (Chose any 4-6 for the first round) Emotions wanted: -Happy -Angry -Sad -Laughing Out Loud -Jokey - eye wink and tongue out -Love with hearts -Angel (halo) -Devil (horns) -Flirty (wink) -Nerdy (glasses) -Cool Guy (Shades) -Hi / hello Have fun with these.. Example, for the Angry emotions.. add flames or bloodshot eyes or whatever you think will work best for that emotion. (Not needed but the more unique the better) We will want plenty more after these 12 are created and here's an idea of what we would want designed next. Extra Ideas: -Thumbs Up -Thumbs Down -Okay -Heart (I love it!) -Huh? -Wow! Final artwork should have the following: - A vector-based format. - Use of a white background as the default, but sticker should be transparent around the edges. - Final output size for each sticker will be approx. 408x408 pixels (square grid). Avoid fine lines, and should look great when downsized to as small as 300x300.
I want full rights to use them however I choose. This first pack will mostly be images of the same character in different poses and expressions. Because these are going to be placed on top of speech bubbles, some not all should be designed that way. Look at the Mario Sticker Pack here.. you’ll see one with Mario sitting on the speech bubble. http://bit.ly/2d63Rbb Here’s the designs of what’s inside the Mario sticker pack. The Emotion Mario faces are nice in size and then there’s the other options to use for fun. http://bit.ly/2cHzyFY If you could mimic that in some type of way it would be great but not 100% necessary. p.s I am going to want more when this is done but since this is my first Rodeo here, I want to see how this whole process works. p.p.s I just mentioned I will want more.. I will want A TON more after this is done. The winner or even runner up may be offered 1 on 1 contracts to work on additional sticker packs. Thank you and I look forward to seeing all the wonderful work ahead.
