hiroshi.yasukawa got their new icon or button by running a design contest:
InfoLens Icon design and Naming Contest for a Price Comparison Shopping App using Image Recognition
Check out hiroshi.yasukawa's Icon or button contest…
We create visual recognition app for shoppers. The app recognize product without typing text, but in a snap of picture, we provide useful information, such as price comparison and reputation of the products. We don't think InfoLens, our company name, is not the best naming for the shopping app itself. So we need new cool name and prominent icon for our shopping app. We are now developing website, but the design is already made by 99designs. please check the following link. https://99designs.com/landing-page-design/contests/infolens-landing-page-contest-412607 Once the naming of the app is made, we will update the website.
What's your vision?
We need you to propose the Name of App in addition to the Icon Design of our Shopping / Price Comparison app using our Visual Recognition Technology. You can be really creative! Any cool and catchy app name which well represent our app and easy to be recognized by users with Prominent Cool App Icon will be great so long as the name and icon doesn't make any conflict from other existing Apps, service , company name, or products.
Our competitor app is CamFind, Amazon "Flow", Target "In a Snap", and RedLaser. http://camfindapp.com/ https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/in-a-snap/id879596104?mt=8 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flow-powered-by-amazon/id474664425?mt=8 http://redlaser.com/ Please download them and check how these competitor's apps work, which should help you understand how our app would work. Amazon "Flow" only take you to Amazon's site and RedLaser only recognize bar-code. Our app recognize image like Amazon one, but shows price of many retailers and e-commerce sites which including Amazon, Target, Costco, Walmart, and other stores which is covered by Google Shopping express.
