We design and manufacture purposeful merchandise for large corporate companies. Products designed to carry a brand into peoples life, and keep it there. We produce promotional products. Our target client is: Large public Corporates, Mining companies, Education institutions.

We need an ICON TO BE REFINED. Our new icon needs to be finished, and to show it is 'part of, or come out of' our main brand identity. We understand that our new icon is 'a part' of our old logo, but our clients don't. We need to communicate this to them visually. (We need to 'show' that the icon is just the tip of 3 characters in our logo) We don't want a new icon. We want to communicate it is 'part of what we have always been'... that the icon has been 'born out' of what we always stood for as a brand. We need to communicate that the new icon is part of the parent brand, literally.

We like our very standard, formal corporate logo just like all our clients do. But we needed something less formal, something iconic TO 'POP OUT' OF IT and be a casual, subtle brandmark. We don't want to change our corporate brand, but we do want an icon to identify ourselves and use in place of the logo when we are not able to print the correct brandmark. This icon would be used stand-alone, without the logo, in various ways from engraving, to embroidery to screen printed to embossed. The icon's curves and angles can be refined, but must be true to the original logo brandmark. The attached .pdf shows the icons journey so far.... (and a copy of our primary brand style guide)
