Think about electric taxi bikes and food delivery services combined! www.evriderz.com is a taxi hailing and soon to be food delivery service that is using electrical vehicles to operate their service. It’s going to be the first electric only ride hailing motorcycle taxi service in the world. Providing sustainable, emission free, ride services in increasingly congested cities. They are about to launch a new food delivery service which is what this icon brief is for. This new application (evEatZ) will allow customers to order food for delivery AND hail taxis, like many of the current apps that do both. (the current application on the store will soon be updated with the new design) Our audience are smartphone users who use food ordering and taxi hailing apps. It's highly lightly that users will already have multiple competitor apps installed. What's your vision?
We would like an app icon that is simplistic and recognisable. Think about electric taxi bikes and food delivery services combined! 'evEatz' will cover 2 markets -> Food deliveries and transportation, however we don’t have to explicitly show that it’s about food or transport. It doesn’t have to explicitly tell a story about saving earth (no planet, no smiley face with a tree behind), but we need to understand that the new concept is about using sustainable electric energy to power the service. We have attached the evRiderz logo and branding colours as you can see the current logo uses a helmet and branding colours. We're interested to see new variations of the logo AND completely new concepts. In the first round we are looking to get a wide range of variation in ideas. Please do not put the whole company name on the icon, remember app icons have the name written underneath them already.
The App Icon design should adhere to few main principles: -Clear Space: A minimum area of space must always surround the mark/logotype lockups. This area of isolation allows the identity to stand out by ensuring that other visual elements are kept clear from the mark. -Unique design: On the phone the app icon is always up against a lot of other apps, whether a user is browsing the app store or scrolling through their home screens. The design needs to in-still a memory and sense of connection on both a functional and an emotional level. -Scalability: One of the most important aspects of an icon is scalability. Because the icon is going to be shown in several places throughout the platform, and at several sizes. -Simplicity: Avoid too many colors on the app icon.
