The app shows the location of areas of rain around Australia and near the user. The app focusses on providing rain information only, it does't provide any forecasting or temperature data.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The aim is to create a simple and unique icon to show this is a rain radar app. The app is for iOS so the icon should be at home in the flat looking environment.
A screenshot of the app is attached.
I think using the rain colours (red, blue, yellows and greens) and the darkish blue theme of the app would look good.
Please be creative in deciding what the icon shows although stay in the rain area.
An icon that is logo like might work too (like Dark Sky)

icon A: Dislike. Generic weather icon.
icon B: Dislike. Muted colours.
icon C: Like. Strong colours, but thats all, no context.
icon D: Best one. Strong colour, shows a radar cloud with the grid background. Not logo like though.

It shows a rain drop and it's not a generic weather icon, plus it functions as a logo for the app.
