Hello designers, I hope that you can help me with my app.
This app is a graphic design iPad app that lets you draw and animate trees. I need six buttons to be designed for the main menu.
There are also many other buttons that I need designing using a similar style. I may do a 1 on 1 project with you if you are able to win this contest.
At the top of the screen are two regions on the left and right edge of the screen, each with three buttons which select different functions in the app. You can see these regions in the included images. The image with the three squares on it is supposed to show the approximate size and placement of the buttons, but they can be any shape that fits well in the space.
I have included a pen sketch of the six buttons. From left to right they are: 1) a button to save the current drawing, 2) a button to bring up the menu showing the drawings that have been saved, 3) a button for sharing the finished drawing, 4) a button to select the color settings menu, 5) a button to bring up the animation menu, 6) a button to bring up the menu which allows you to edit the shape of the tree.
I include some example output from the app so you can get an idea what it does.
All these buttons have to have both normal and highlighted states. In addition, the left-most save button (1) must have a check mark indicator which shows the user that the drawing was successfully saved. Actually the save button does not need a highlighted state, just a check mark indicator that is normally not present, and appears if you have saved the drawing.
I include the color palette that is used in the UI. It also includes both white and black, although those should be used sparingly if at all.
The colors may look darker on your screen than they look on the iPad. It is important that you ensure that you are matching the colors in the palette and don't have a wrong color profile. Actually I don't really mind if you use a shading between the colors in the palette.
For the color menu button, its ok to use colors that are in the palette or blends of them. Don't use red, green and blue.
Here are the color numbers:
102 128 179 #6680B3 (light blue - UI background color)
51 64 89 #334059 (dark blue)
77 97 135 #4D6187 (medium blue)
230 77 128 #E64D80 (pink)
217 230 255 #D9E6FF (off white)
Thanks!
