New Facebook cover and profile pic for https://www.facebook.com/VegPhoenix…019334857/
We are marketing vegetarian/vegan food. We'd like the food to be familiar and recognizable to people, and look savory and filling. Color is a bonus. If doing pictures of food, Veggie Burger might be best, and Mexican could be good (tortillas, guac, colorful veggies and/or beans. If showing prepared food from a restaurant, check out the photos from Green and Pomegranate, we could probably use these with their permission (https://www.facebook.com/greenrestaurantaz/ and https://www.facebook.com/pomegranatecafe/). Lastly, check out photos of the Beyond Meat Beyond Burger. We may be able to use these photos with permission.
One idea is pictures of food that are colorful and appetizing. Could be prepared foods or non-prepared foods. If using fruits and vegetables, it's better to use many items instead of a single item such as a carrot, apple or iceburg lettuce, since that fits into the stereotype that veg eating is boring and limited. It doesn't have to be food of substantial calories - could be a soup or taco. It's most important that it looks appetizing. Could also be grains, spices, etc., no limits there.
Another idea is a collage of appetizing vegan foods available in the Phoenix metro area (could use this list of our favorite restaurants - https://vegphoenix.com/Restaurants/EditorsChoice - if so, we could help getting permissions from the restaurants for any of their photos).
Our first choice is to show food on the cover. But some other options:
If using animals in the cover: Even though many people become vegetarian/vegan for animal reasons, we prefer not to exclusively focus on animals since we are trying to reach a broader audience. If animals are pictured, it's best if they are cute farmed animals, and don't necessarily have to be cows, chickens or pigs even though they are the most common animals killed for food. You might want to include some nonstandard farmed animals like ducks or goats. But we don't want people to feel sad by visiting the site.
Also, we are open to having people in the picture to show eating vegetarian is popular/common. We want to show vegetarian/vegan eating is easy, fun, healthy, and popular.
Also, the current logo (the green circle), is not important and you can get rid of that completely if you have ideas.
