How bizbrilliance started their custom wordpress themes journey
Jessica Eaves Mathews
Hi! I am a business advocate and coach, and I am passionate about helping women launch dream businesses infused with authenticity & passion.
My Business Brilliance™ brand is dedicated to empowering women with the tools they need to create a life of personal and financial brilliance through entrepreneurship. I help guide women entrepreneurs through the emotional and practical steps toward a rock solid business that empowers and liberates women to have a brilliant business and brilliant life on their own terms.
Through my new Business Brilliance University™, I provide educational products and step-by-step tools for creating a solid legal foundation for your business painlessly and quickly so that your hard work is protected as your business grows. The website is for this new online learning center/University.
I have run a couple of projects here on 99designs and I know how important feedback is. I will give immediate feedback to every designer and will eventually guarantee the prize, because I very much respect the level of talent here and will not let you all work in vain! Ask the designers from my last project about the experience of working with me!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Women entrepreneurs looking to create brilliant businesses that support their ideal lives. They want to be fully a woman, but they love being successful.
There is a balance with these women - they love what they do and want to be very successful, but they also know what really matters in life and want their business to support a full and fulfilling life. They love being a woman and they cherish the different roles in their lives (wife, mother, girlfriend, friend, etc...).
My site needs to cutting edge, needs to show women that learning about how to launch a business can be fun and feminine.
They love anything that gives them a chance to be both girlie and powerful. Feminine but successful. Soft but strong. Think "Sex and the City" and you have the right idea!
Think clear, modern and feminine design. Nothing cluttered. Something unexpected. It needs a beautiful, rich web 2.0 feel with depth of field. Use the colors in the attached logos for inspiration.
→See my existing site for the navigation elements we need. Avoid normal navigation tabs. Have fun with this and think outside the box! http://www.jessicaeavesmathews.com
→The header needs my logo and an opt-in box on the right side of the header- see http://www.kellyoneil.com/ for a cool way to get the opt-in box up there. My photo also needs to be above the fold.
→Clean, unusual, and easy-to-follow navigation (I like the navigation buttons on the http://www.redhotcopy.com/start or the http://www.familywealthmatters.com sites).
→Video integrated into the site easily (from YouTube or Viddler, etc.)
→Space on the page for a quiz or assessment - See http://www.kellyoneil.com/ (box on the top left just under the header) and http://janeoutofthebox.com/blog/ (see the assessment box on the right)
