How janice.hill72 started their clothing or apparel journey
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the apparel?
Our Club desperately needs a new jersey design, and while we would like to retain our traditional colours of red, blue, white and black, we are happy for them to be updated, eg modern reds and blues used. Suggested colours are Pantone 7471U (light aquamarine), 297U (skyblue), 283U (bright blue), 538U (light silver). It is suggested that red (actual red not specified) be used as an accent/highlight colour. (These suggested colours are to represent sea blues, with a silver highlight, to give a subtle sense of place (we live by the sea). The designer may choose other tones if required.) The silver can be used as a highlight or in place of the white. We suggest that red be just a highlight colour.
The jersey design must pair well with black shorts, so that people may buy only the jersey if they wish (and wear it with their own black shorts)
The design should be more Modern than Traditional, more Competitive than Casual, more Exclusive/Pro than Accessible, be gender neutral, and be more Bold than Subtle, and be Classic and Elegant.
A blocky/geometric style is preferred.
A cycling jersey
Apparel description and purpose
An appealing, stylish jersey will help our Club to be visible in the area, and foster a sense of pride and community in the Club. A new design for our Club's members to wear for races and training rides. A strong design, which will last.
The name Kapiti must be prominent. However, a new, modern, sans serif font is desired. KCC should not be used. ‘Cycling Club’ can be added, but may be minimised.
What to avoid
In order to avoid confusion with other local Clubs/riding groups, it is preferred that designs featuring red/white hoops, red/blue solid panels on white or too much white, and dark blue/navy be avoided.
We do not wish to incorporate an outline of Kapiti Island.
Note: we do not have a logo.
