Illustrate THE BLOOD FAIRY - for a TV show

Entertainment & The Arts
A television show (comedy) about a medical company. The target audience is people familiar with tech who have a very dry sense of humor.
What's your vision?
In the first episode of the show, the company's marketing team proposes creating a character called the "Blood Fairy." This character is supposed to help kids get more comfortable with doctors and blood tests, just like the Tooth Fairy helps kids get more comfortable with dentists and dental operations. I want to create an illustration of this Blood Fairy. The character should look like something created by a well-intentioned marketing team in an effort to help children, but that accidentally ends up looking terrifying. As an example of this contrast, the Blood Fairy would probably be smiling, but she would probably also have blood splattered on her hands or clothes. You can approach your entry in one of two ways. == APPROACH #1: DRAW ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATION == In the script, a member of the marketing team dresses up as the Blood Fairy to demonstrate how she looks. Here is how that moment is currently described in the script: "The marketing team clearly meant well, but it's still the most terrifying thing you've ever seen. Where the Tooth Fairy held a magic wand, the Blood Fairy now holds a "syringe wand". And apparently he never leaves home without a flask of rubbing alcohol in his other hand. He's got some gauze hanging off of him in various spots, like a mummy, and blood is splattered randomly about his hands and clothes. An errant loose tooth is accidentally still hanging with floss from his right breast, from when the marketing employee was dressed as the Tooth Fairy a moment earlier. The veins in his arms are very prominent -- a phlebotomist's dream. He's got a five o'clock shadow. But hey: At least he's smiling!" Note that although the character of the Blood Fairy is female, the marketing employee who dresses up as him in the script is a man. Therefore, you would draw a male fairy (e.g. with the facial hair mentioned above). However, he would still be wearing typical feminine fairy clothing, such as that shown in http://www.thehindu.com/multimedia/dynamic/01771/28mptoothfairy_jpg_1771152e.jpg. == APPROACH #2: USE YOUR IMAGINATION == The description above is the funniest concept I could dream up. But if you can think of something funnier, go for it! Maybe the Blood Fairy's wings could somehow be made out of bags of blood, for example. There are probably many ideas that I haven't thought of, and if you can make me laugh harder than the image I've described above, you'll win and I'll change the script. === Whichever approach you choose, here are two things to keep in mind: 1. The final drawing should still be recognizable to the average person as a human "fairy", just as with the tooth fairy (http://bit.ly/1ixZJkU). 2. The humor of the drawing should ultimately come from the contrast between the *intention* of the Blood Fairy (a welcoming and uplifting hero for children) and the reality (accidentally horrifying). So it shouldn't be drawn as a total joke, but it also shouldn't be drawn with utter malice. Imagine what a slightly deranged marketing team would come up with.
* Bonus points for creativity. Make me laugh! * If possible, it is probably best to draw this on the larger side, to give me more flexibility in how I use the drawing. This is not an absolute dealbreaker, however. * I am going to be posting many different projects on 99designs in the coming weeks. If you demonstrate your talent and are easy to work with, I would love to work with you on a regular basis.
