Blind Sports NSW First Ever Mascot!

Blind Sports NSW is the peak organisational body in New South Wales in providing sport and social recreation for community members with blindness and low vision. Our mission and purpose is to support people with low vision and blindness to access all Active Recreation and Sports with the appropriate level of adaptation and to have access to information that supports them across community participation and contribution.

We want two character mascots, one female and one male, called Iris and Blur that represent Blind Sports NSW. You can choose either one mascot, either Blur (male) or Iris (female). Upon receiving your design, if successful, we will work with you in a 1 on 1 project to develop the second mascot, and further positions outside of the competition brief. During design phase please consider aspects that need to be predominantly featured such as eyes or designs that match blindness and low vision. In the design approach we want something abstract and unique, rather than a traditional animal, that will predominantly be aimed at our youth members. Specific positions should be of a sport nature for Paralympic goalball, blind low vision tennis and blind cricket. Images of items are provided in this brief and needed as per position requested.
