Treasure Map Postcard for Self-Coaching brand
Check out Jung_Marge's Card or invitation contest…
Compass Cards is a deck of self-coaching cards to help people find their own truth.
What's your vision?
The ask: Design a postcard-style insert that can be included with an order of compass cards. Details: • Side 1: A letter from the founder (me) to the customer • Side 2: Art! In all honesty, I see this as either a treasure map or nature photography. I'd like it to capture the essence of adventure. The energy is: timeless, classic, and enchanting. For visual inspiration: – Old school maps, craftsmanship, vintage globes, compasses, ships, serif & monospace typewriter fonts, etc. – Nature photography (esp. mountains, forest imagery, etc.) – Bohemian patterns, #vanlife, mysticism I'll be printing via Moo's standard postcards (4' x 6'): https://www.moo.com/us/postcards/original
The brand you'll see online is beautiful, although it doesn't quite speak to that special place inside of me that feels like home. I don't offer this as a, "Cady's perfectionistic and going to be a pain in the b*tt" to work with. Rather, I'd like to offer that this doesn't have to look like it lives in the EXACT same 'wardrobe' as what's currently visible online. I want the person opening the package to discover this postcard and letter to be enchanted (...if that's available to them). The product (compass cards) lure people into the magical land of their dreams. The postcard you're designing signals a subtle call to adventure – for those who are ready to hear it. Here are links to the existing material: https://instagram.com/compass.cards http://compass.cards/ What's attached: – Visuals of the existing brand: The box design (front & back) – Visual of the original box. <------ This is NOT what the product looks like now, although – as it's the one I designed myself – it captures the energy of what I'm going for. The tones are a little darker; the vibe is a bit more "call to adventure"-y. I want to head this direction. – A PDF download that customers will get. This is another one I made. For the letter side of the postcard: play around with the color of the paper (off-white) and the font (Goudy Bookletter) to see if we can whip up a streamlined look and feel. (If your muse takes you a different direction, that's cool too! I'm down to play.) Attaching stills from my IG stories that capture a bit more of the essence of what I'm after. (To be completely candid: you can probably go full-on treasure map and I will love you forever. It really isn't campy to me. It's magical.)
