The contest was a fantastic way to get input from various designers. Although many of them had great ideas, fenom1004 was amazingly responsive, a good listener, a creative designer and worked literally day and night through the process. I would suggest him to anyone.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a financial planning firm that targets retirees and baby boomers to create retirement and investment plans to protect and preserve the assets that they have accumulated. This invitation is to go into a newspaper to invite women to "An Evening with the Author" financial seminar.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
This will be a free standing insert to go into the local paper targeted to seniors. I am a woman author and the design is meant to attract women 55 and older. I have roughed out a preliminary design that is attached in both publisher format and pdf. I would like the finished product in Adobe Illustrator so that I can modify the dates and times of the event - Plus my legal dept may need me to change a word or two after the design is complete.
I have attached the image files that need to be included in the design. On the line "As seen in USA Today", I will have additional media credentials to add (after the contest), so leave space to add them.
The text is in the publisher file, so you can copy and paste it.
I envision the design to be double sided printed and then folded in half (like a greeting card). The outside will have the book cover image and the meet the author page. The inside will have the event information. I put a scroll design on the left side with the information about the event. The scroll was my idea to go with the fairy tale theme of the book, but if you have some creative ideas that would be great also. I would like this design to be more colorful than my rough draft. I'm fairly happy with the layout as far as where things need to go - I just need help pulling it all together as far as fonts and colors that coordinate. As far as fonts, a sprinkling of creative fonts are great, but they must be legible for my demographic.
I've included the unique images - please pull the hotel logos and USA Today logo from the internet
