The Possible Project
The Possible Project (TPP) was founded in 2010, by lifelong entrepreneurs, Mark and Becky Levin, to create a place where underserved youth could become entrepreneurs and in the process acquire a host of skills that would propel them to long-term success in life, education, and their personal and professional development. Our 3-year program is currently serving over 300 students from the Greater Boston area, exposing high school students to a career and educational mindsets and importantly teaching valuable lessons of entrepreneurship and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education. (https://possibleproject.org/)
Project Fabulous is a new initiative founded by the organization that aims to raise awareness about The Possible Project, while building an impactful community around a novel cause. We host annual events targeting executive women in the Greater Boston area. These are not fundraising events, but networking events that celebrates women, our community, entrepreneurship and the next generation of talent. Our third annual event will be in May. Project Fabulous will be a very special night with over 100 women executives in the Greater Boston area to unite and build support for this social mission while celebrating our students’ accomplishments.
CONTEXT: The next Project Fabulous event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 2017 and it’s going to feature TPP alumna, Aicha Kaba. Aicha is originally from Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa. When she was at The Possible Project, she started By Us Girls, a mobile manicure service that set up at local businesses. Not only did her experience at TPP allow her to grow more confident and resilient, but the revenue she earned from her business provided necessary financial support for her family. Aicha is currently a junior at UMass Boston, works part time at TPP, and about to launch her own fashion line, FAAMA, combining modern design with traditional textiles from West Africa.
Aicha will be the highlight of our May 9th Project Fabulous event and the headliner will be a FAAMA fashion show, including women executives and TPP students as models. With the continued support of The Possible Project and the encouragement of mentors, Aicha is pursuing her dreams and truly believes, Anything is Possible!
INVITATION: We are looking for an electronic Save the Date to include in emails and download to Paperless Post. We will be sending this out to over 250 women executives in the Greater Boston area. It would be great if we could edit the text so we can use for a follow-up Invitation when we have the location confirmed. We also hope to print these invitations.
See one-pager (attached) for some direction on content.
The branding should mimic The Possible Project branding, but we want to incorporate Project Fabulous (which has no brand) and FAAMA. (see attached for logos). Some words that come to mind for this: Bold, vibrant, corporate, women, empowerment, fabulous, mentorship.
