This is an AirBnB cottage listing.
What's your vision?
I am looking to have a post card created for my AirBnb Cottage Listing. I am inspired by the sticker and post card of the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park (attached), and would like similarly designed for my place. I love the artistic style, the colour palate and the vintage feel of the example provided. Would love if my property could be highlighted in a similar style (see the attached reference photos of the Prince of Wales Hotel post card), with the Sandbanks Provincial Park sand dunes and West Lake in the background, with a gorgeous layered sunset (directly or indirect (ie. sun in image or just the light it casts in the sky/clouds)), and possibly the swing set, as well as obviously the property of the main home/cottage. Our property is frequented often by squirrels, chipmunks, fox, robbins, blue jays, cardinals and mallards. We have maple, oak and pine trees (among others) on our property. The pines are the trees that lean. Hence the name of our cottage: Leaning Tree Lodge. The file should ideally be a vector based file so that it can be shared with a professional printer and made at any size. The post card will need front and back sides and should be a print ready, full colour file with the appropriate bleed/borders. None of the image should feel geographically correct/strict. The idea is to combine all of the various elements to create the emotional response to all of the good vibes associated with each. So it's a 360 snapshot of what was experienced of the home/stay in one's mind, rather than a straight on shot of exactly what you see when staring at the home. The final hero image should NOT be hyper detailed, similar to the Prince of Wales Hotel example. It is reminiscent and in the spirit of. Not a 100% scale replica/reproduction of.
Text on front of post card: LEANING TREE LODGE (1st Line) PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY (2nd Line) *please keep the maple leafs in the design. Elements required for back of post card: 1 Where the Tourist Courts logo is... please replace with PEC decal logo (as indicated in example picture almost looks like a European country code license plate/bumper sticker) 2 a vertical centre line down the middle, dividing the space for what is written and the address/stamp 3 micro text on both sides of the centre line (or all around the edges of the back of the post card): -Sandbanks Provincial Park, Sand Dunes, Outlet Beach, West Lake, Bloomfield, Picton, Wellington, Lake-on-the-Mountain, Cherry Valley, Waupoos, Hillier, Consecon, Wineries, Breweries, Distilleries, Antique Shops, Food Trucks, Hayloft, Mustang Drive-In, The Millennium Trail, Arts Trail, Barn Quilts © Fun Republic Pictures Inc. All Rights Reserved. 4 outline of a stamp (top right corner) 5 5 horizontal lines for address on the right side of the centre line 6 animal icon (squirrel, robin, blue jay, squirrel, chipmunk, fox, or cardinal), or a leaning tree (as our property is quite windy and most of our trees grow on a severe angle); icon to be located at the bottom centre (in place of the Anderson Design Group logo on the example post card). NB. Please keep in mind that the winning designer will also be engaged to create a coat of arms for the property (utilizing the winning post card image), that may be used to make a sign for the entrance to the property (similar to the coat of arms the Prince of Wales Hotel has in the example imagery provided).

And then… they selected a winner!
Hannah nailed her initial design and only kept refining it with each draft to improve upon it and make it better and better. She implemented my notes and feedback with ease and precision. She has incredible artistic instincts, spacial awareness and a keen eye for pleasing and complimentary fonts. And best of all, she was a joy to deal with. I am now eager to work with Hannah again.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
