We like to develop a Birth Announcement for a Twin, which is expected in 2 weeks. We like to develop something unique, in the style of Banksy (street/stencil art).
Our idea is to use the famous Apache (helicoptor, which basically illustrates the stork) with pink ribbon (and blue sky) as the cover of the announcement).
The apache should be on the front, and the back will only show the blue sky and clouds, and perhaps some Hallmark alternative logo.
The apache will have dropped 2 parachutes with babies on it(see example with the rats), again in stencil art style (see attachments).
Also the front should have some reference I guess, to show that its a birth announcement.
I was thinking maybe showing the date, like E.T.A (estimated time of arrival) and then the date of birth (29-7-2015), in Army Font.
But i dont want to make it a complete army style, and ETA is not a known definition in Netherlands, so we need to think of something here.
On the inside of the birth announcement (which should be about 20cm-20cm (folded, so 20cm-40cm unfolded), it should contain more specific information about the birth, like:
- Time of Birth
- Full Names
- Invite to Baby Party
- Some text about happy parents
But also, I had the idea to create a stencil art image, of the 2 current children in the family, who are running to the 2 dropped babies.
So i added a picture of the 2 children running, and perhaps you can use it for this idea, so they are also included in the card. But its just a suggestion.
Also a suggestion is to highlight each dropped baby per innerpage, basically zoom in the baby image, and mention the details. In that case the invite to the Baby Party could be on the backside as well.
In this case the innerpages might have a different background, in stead of the blue sky, green grass (since the babies have landed). But still hold on to the stencil art style.
The family just bought a very big house, so maybe it can also be used for background or something like it. (see picture in attachment)
Maybe I already gave to many suggestions, just be open minded and try to hold on to the Banksy style/filosophy.
