What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Design our Wedding Invitations! Design Two (2) Paper Cards: We need our Wedding Invitation and RSVP card (designs on two sides for each card) designed! Dimensions: 5" x 7" - Invitation 4" x 6" post card - RSVP Colors: no more than 2 colors (see below) We would like two-sided designs for both cards. Wedding Theme: Modern Hawaiian (see note in Evernote for inspiration: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/sh/03690e63-6c2e-4589-a451-9f1489e1cfd3/609f4bc6d62bbe89460d5678114ba9ee) Our color scheme: Option 1) http://www.dessy.com/pantone/chiplette/ choose African Violet and Pistachio OR Option 2) http://www.behr.com Search for colors: Intoxication PPU10-5 and Plum S-H-670 We also love the color Imperial Violet from Jenny Yoo's bridesmaid dress collection: http://shop.jennyyoo.com/product_p/1106.htm Main Design Elements: Hibiscus flower and/or monsterra leaf - we are open to other Hawaiian/tropical flowers, but please steer clear of bird of paradise, protea, or orchids. Font: This is up to you, but we'd prefer if you chose something that is similar in style to one found in Microsoft products or is a free downloadable font. Design Concept: This is where your expertise will shine. Integrating the wedding theme, colors, main design elements, font, and words/text into a cohesive design is where we need your help. However, we do have specific wording that must be used (see below). On the other hand, how you organize the wording is up to you as well. We don't necessarily want a traditional invitation where the text is centered down the middle of the invitation. We are looking for interesting ways of presenting the necessary words while clearly conveying its message. Images as inspiration: Please view these images in Evernote: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/sh/03690e63-6c2e-4589-a451-9f1489e1cfd3/609f4bc6d62bbe89460d5678114ba9ee Hopefully you can see what we like from the attached images that will guide you through this process. We don't necessarily want a traditional wedding invitation but don't want something completely non-traditional at the same time. We hope this comes through in the inspiration images. Invitation Wording (capitalization will likely depend on your font choice): Island Girl meets City Boy Noelle Kehaunani o Kaala Newhouse and Keith Allan Carroll Together with our Families Invite you to Share in the Celebration as we Begin our Lifelong Adventure Together Sunday the Eighteenth of May Two Thousand Fourteen at Five O'Clock in the Evening Halekulani Hotel Hau Terrace Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii Dinner and Dancing to Follow RSVP card - One side should be formatted like a traditional postcard, with the response options on the left side (see below), [assuming it fits and is readable], the mailing address on the right (see below), and area for a stamp at the top right. The designer we choose will also have the opportunity to design this and potentially other items for our wedding! Please let us know if you have any questions! We'll be checking in at least two times per day to answer any questions! Mahalo (thank you)! Who We Are: We are I/O psychologists living in Chicago, who teach at the same graduate school. Here is a link to learn more about what we do: http://www.siop.org/ We met 4 years ago and have been dating for almost 3 years. Keith was born and raised in Chicago, while I was born and raised in Hawaii. I have always dreamed of getting married in Hawaii, and I am lucky my fiance wants to do the same! Luckily, our professional association's annual conference is being held in Hawaii next May and we thought it would be practical to get married at the same time; saving some of our family and friends from making an extra trip! We are looking for a designer to create our wedding invitations and help us with other items for our wedding, e.g., save-the-dates.
