*A Local Community Portal for Ski Clubs*
SkiClubZ.com makes each ski club run more efficiently. It makes teaching easier and more effective for the coaches, training more interactive and enjoyable for the athletes and most importantly it keeps parents in the know but out of the way.
*A Global Network For Competitive Skiers*
SkiClubZ.com has started bringing members of the skiing community from all across the globe together under one online platform. As it grows, SkiClubZ.com will facilitate effective global communication and collaboration.
*Current Status of Project*
We are currently in Beta and our site is only being used by Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. Our plan is to start marketing and sales to other clubs for the 2010-11 season starting in March '10. Your work will be used in our quarter cards; brochures and in revamping our public pages (splash page, about us, contact us ...etc)
Competitive skiers worldwide are our target audience. Our target audience is between the ages of 10-35. They live in or close to ski resorts. Their lives revolve around skiing. They are reasonably well-off (competitive skiing is expensive). Most are social networking users (mostly facebook) and are familiar with Social Media sites and trends.
*Uses on the Website For Icons*
Attached you will find a word document and a few jpgs that illustrate how these icons will be used in the About Us page on the website.
*General Look & Feel*
We prefer a "Web 2.Oish" look and feel (e.g. twitter.com, box.net)
1) Snow Sport Athlete: Preferably something that can represent both skiers and snowboarders.
2) Snow Sport Coach:
3) Snow Sport Parent:
4) Training Management Icon
5) Video Analysis Icon
6) Club Icon: We will use this for the set-up animation. This needs to be as simple as possible (a circle, a rectangle ...etc).
7) Group Icon: This also needs to be as simple as possible. The fact that a group is lower in the hierarchy (compared to a club) needs to be conveyed.
